“I have been drawing and painting since childhood.  Primarily self taught, I have studied with Fran Shapiro, Betsy Jacaruso plus a variety of other classes.   My mediums and influences have varied throughout the years but at this wonderful point in my life I am a student of Keith Gunderson who teaches in the tradition of the Hudson River School.  Now working primarily in oil paints, plein aire landscapes have become my passion.  For me it is another way to enjoy the beauty of nature and share that with others.

I have shown in several student group art shows, 2 years contributed paintings to the Star Library Benefit Art Show in Rhinebeck, contributed for 3 years a painted bird house to the “Rhinebeck Children’s Trust Bird House Auction “.  In 2006 my paintings were shown in a one woman show at Sanjula Salon in Tivoli NY.”

Linda Palfreyman has enjoyed nature and art since childhood.  Influenced by the palette of the Hudson River School painters, she enjoys painting the beauty of the Hudson Valley.

Whether she is painting in the studio in Tivoli, New York she shares with her husband Kevin or going out to roam the most beautiful places of the Hudson Valley and beyond, painting “en plein air”, her art is truly a life long passion.
