“Painting is just another way of keeping a diary” – Pablo Picasso
Born in Moscow, Russia, Tatiana has lived in the USA since 1991. Tatiana’s love of all of the Renaissance Arts is reflected in her work. Most of her paintings include a musical instrument or score, paintbrushes or palette or literature of some kind. More specifically, she often includes paintings within her paintings.
Tatiana works in several mediums including water color, acrylic and oil. She utilizes rich dark colors in combination with diffused window light to create a calming but magnetic space. She creates windows through which one can see the old streets and monuments of Europe.
She has exhibited and sold her work in Russia, France, Yugoslavia, Italy, Greece, and at the Gallery Revel in Soho, NYC. She illustrated several historical and children’s books, maps, and has had special commissions for private companies. Tatiana’s work is collected by private dealers, public and private institutions, and individual collectors.
