GLASS BY DEA – Home glass studio and green house gallery

Since 2022, I have explored several directions simultaneously.
1. Studies with studies, in glass
Many of these panels are made using glass painting studies from previous commissioned pieces. In collage style , these studies come together with additional paint, followed by traditional stained glass leading, to create an entirely new glass panel.

2. Re interpreting , in acrylic on canvas
This is a series of paintings that reinterpret images from what lens capture of out earth. These lenses come from microscopes, satellite images, camera in hand or drones. The imagined image from each canvas is a reflection from the moment.

Both of these directions have a unifying theme of seaching for a new vision amidst the old.

Dea Archbold is an experienced kiln fired glass painting artist with skills in all stages of leaded and foiled glass window construction,
