As a resident of the Hudson Valley, it’s hard to ignore the breathtaking beauty of its diverse landscapes. This work explores the natural beauty of this region, capturing not only its physical essence but also the emotional and surreal atmosphere that the environment evokes.

In my artwork, I seek to capture what is beyond the picturesque calm that is often associated with this region. I draw inspiration from the works of Audubon, and the rich traditions of the Hudson River School, but with a contemporary and graphic approach. Working primarily in black and white, I aim to build work that is both strange and familiar. I’m interested in capturing aspects of nature that are in motion, from birds flying to waterfalls cascading. My approach is grounded in the earth and liberated by my imagination. I’ve enjoyed making this body of work and look forward to sharing it with the community that I was born and raised in.
