Sandra Spilke is a collage and mixed media artist based in Rhinebeck, NY. Over the years she has worked as a graphic designer, advertising art director and clinical social worker. Each of these roles has shaped her perspective and continues to influence her artwork today.

In early 2020, Sandra moved from Westchester, NY to the Hudson Valley and began creating art on a more personal level. She works intuitively without a fixed outcome in mind, allowing her to respond to each piece as it develops. Her process begins with drawing, painting and mark-making on various papers and foundations. She then then rips, tears, cuts and layers these materials, gradually transforming them into abstract collages.

Sandra’s artwork has been accepted into multiple juried exhibitions and is held in several private collections.
